2024-11 – Informative events, exhibitions at various trade fairs, and now… A podcast! Logikamente, a software house with which I have been working profitably for years, not only has excellent products but is also a hotbed of ideas. After last May’s event (which I wrote about here), which picks up on an interesting thread that began before the pandemic, “Viaggio nelle Smart Factories” is now also a podcast (by clicking there, you will be redirected to the YouTube link with our talk). I also recommend checking out my POST on LinkedIn.
Once again, it was a great pleasure to participate in this interesting experiment. Together with CEO Stefano Ciammarughi, we discussed and reflected on the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing companies. The idea is that, as a natural development of Logikamente’s proprietary software, which focuses heavily on collecting and making available field data (production, warehouse, purchasing, research and development, etc.), now is a good time to invest in artificial intelligence systems, that can process this data in an advanced way, and provide companies with data processing performance that is absolutely unattainable for humans.
But, you know, all that glitters is not gold. It is certainly a huge opportunity to seize as a competitive advantage at this stage. However, as with ERP and other tools in the past, the system alone does not produce results; a great deal of preparatory work is required on the part of the company. In particular, I would like to address a subject that is very close to my heart: the accuracy and harmonization of the data itself, as the only and essential lever for obtaining the expected responses from the systems. Here is an article from a few years ago, in which we discussed the importance of this topic in unsuspecting times: “Is Bad data better than no data” ?
Beyond the complex and arduous initial journey, the result looks very promising, and we will explore the topic from various perspectives. Take a look at this and upcoming posts, or as they say, stay tuned… Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more exciting content!
